On March 9, 2007, I started a new life together with Lisa. We had a small wedding with just a few friends and family members in Madison, Wisconsin and the following day we held a reception in Janesville. We took off that evening for a few days in the Dominican republic.
My brother Scott and his wife, Marcia were able to make it to the reception, and I was thrilled to see that my daughter Rachel could also make it. Gosh, how fast daughters grow up these days. She looked absolutely stunning in her black dress. Didn't seem that long ago she was running around playing in the back yard. Now she's about to finish college this year and start a career in Human Resources. Maybe she could teach me a tip or two!
Lisa's son, Ben, is quite the adventurist. 9 Years old, he likes football, baseball, fishing, skateboarding, and about anything outdoors-based. We've been fishing a few times together, and he usually gets more and bigger fish than I do. Last time we went out he got 2 catfish well over 10 pounds each. (I only got one.) Here he is getting some air on his bike. I think we have a new X-treme sports participant in the making!
Lisa's daughter, Ally, is about to enter the teen years. Remember those? Ally enjoys Instant Messenger, MTV, Cosmo-Teen, eating after bed time, having a gazillion friends over, cell phones... She is also a rock star when it comes to track and field. She runs some distance, and can throw a ball further than about any other girl her age. The last time I went to the field meet at her school, she threw further than most of the boys!
