I got into Ham Raido in 1993 while stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC. My first call sign was KE4BMU, a Technician class. Not long after that, I started learning Morse Code so I could upgrade my license. I went through General and Advanced class licenses with my new call of AE4EM. Shortly after upgrading to Extra class, I moved back to my home state of Wisconsin and requested my current call, AE9W.
The rig in this photo are: Icom IC746-Pro, Palstar AT1500CV, Icom SM-20 Mic, Vibroplex keyer, Bencher key, and I wish I remembered where in the heck I got the mini-key on the right... I used it in my mobile in my last vehicle, but it is not labeled. I currently have it plugged into the back of my radio and use it mainly as a tuning device ,as I prefer the Vibroplex when I work CW.
